Dye Sublimation Printing
A big trend today is dry performance or moisture management apparel. Traditional screen printing or cad printing covers fabric with ink or film, making it difficult for air or moisture to pass through. Dye sublimation printing maintains a fabric's 'wicking' characteristics.
When the sublimation dye is placed next to polyester and heated the polyester molecules open. The sublimation dye turns into a gas and then penetrates the fibers of the fabric when heated. After the heat is removed, the polyester molecules will close
and permanently trap the sublimation dyes. The image gets indelibly transferred to the polyester garment. When the fabric cools, the fibers close, and permanently retains the brilliant color of the sublimation dye.
Dye sublimation is permanent and becomes part of the fabric. It makes a t-shirt or jersey a light weight, breathable feel and rich, long lasting, brilliant full color. We GUARANTEE that it won't ever crack or peel.
As a frame of reference cycling jerseys are mostly dye sublimated. One important note is that dye sublimation works only on light colored shirts and can not be used for designs that require white printing.

Digital Printing and Photo Printing
This eco-friendly printing process is a great option for smaller orders as well as multi-colored or complex designs. Digital printing is a water-based direct process of printing from a computer file onto a garment. The resulting print has a soft hand and a slightly washed down look.
Printing on dark shirts is more complicated than printing on light colored shirts. To ensure that the dark shirt color does not bleed through an image, a white underbase must be printed first. The image’s ink colors are then printed on top much like priming a wall before painting the finished coat.
We can print your custom designed shirts as large as 11" wide X 16" high. Direct digital isn’t as restrictive as traditional screen printing. Vector art, high resolution bitmap images or even a digital camera photos can be used for your custom designed tshirts. There’s no concern for spot vs. process color, as printing is done directly from the computer to the tshirt printer.
Create your digital art design files so they can be opened in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or CorelDRAW. Graphics should be actual size or larger, with a resolution of 150dpi.
So that we can print your design on clothing and mousepads, your design (e.g. photo) must:
Be saved as .png, .jpg, .bmp, or .gif (transparent formats, i.e. .gif or .png, are preferred)
Have a minimum resolution of 150 dpi
maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels
And a maximum file size of 3 mb
The exact description of the printable area can be found in the product details. Be aware that the design size should fit the print area. Minimizing the design is always a possibility without losing picture quality, however, enlargements are not since the design will appear "pixelated".

Screenprinting
Screenprinting is durable and offer good vibrancy. We use this process when larger quantities are needed. Screenprinting uses spot color, as there is a screen setups for every color in the design. Over a large quantity of shirts your per unit costs can be lower than digital printing. Maximum size of imprint is limited to 12" X 12".
Unlike conventional custom companies, LogoSportswear.com does not requires set-up fees. LogoSportswear.com has also prepared a list of readily available fonts for customers to choose from. LogoSportswear.com's Online Imprinting Fonts List
What Method Of Imprinting Is Best For You?
Screenprinting or Digital Art Printing?
Sreen Printing
Screen printing has advantages as it is known for crisp colors and is ideal for large print quantities. Because set-up costs are higher, there is often a minimum order quantity for screen printing. Every color that is laid down on the T-shirt requires a screen. The more colors, the more screens. The more screens, the more cost to set up the order.
Digital and Photo Tshirts
If your art is a full color design then we use state of art digital art technologies to imprint your image on the tshirt you choose.

How To Save Money On Imprinted T shirts
1. Limit the number of colors you wish to print. Fewer colors requires fewer screen set-ups and less time to print additional colors.
2. Limit the number of locations on the t-shirt. Additional placement charges apply if you want to add additional locations.
3. Order white or light colored t-shirts. T-shirt mills charge more for dark colors and printing on dark tshirts often require printing a white "underlay" to avoid the dark t-shirt color bleeding through the design.
4. The More You Buy, The More You Save. Order in large quantities and your price per imprinted tshirt can go down dramatically.
5. Pick a company you can trust. Seek out a company that offers a wide range of custom apparel, screen printing and digital art t-shirt services. Look for real customer testimonials and reviews.

Cadcut Printing
Cadcut printing process uses high-performance print/cut technology to create designs that are contour-cut and applied to garments with heat-press technology. The specialized films that we use are extremely durable, and soft to the hand. This application is a great method to apply team names and numbers to athletic uniforms and for dark garments. For dark garments we use an opaque film that prevents the garment color from bleeding through the graphic.
Pixel designs cannot be used for cadcut printing. In order to do this, they must be converted into vector designs. You can convert to vector artwork using a conversion graphics program. In this type of a program it is possible to open the pixel design and vectorize it "along the curves". This program automatically creates curves along the shape of the design. You can save this curve and edit it in a vector design program. Note: In general, converting photographs into a printable vector design is difficult and requires a lot of time and effort. Vector designs can be created with Corel Draw, Inkscape, or Adobe Illustrator. Note that vector designs are limited to 2-colors and should not exceed 11.8 x 11.8 inches.
After the conversion into curves (or paths,) it is necessary to proof every object in the design for thin lines which can not be cut easily.
Save/Export designs as .eps
Before uploading, your design should be saved or exported into .eps format. When using Adobe Illustrator, go to File/Save As, and select EPS. When using Corel Draw this can be done by going to File/Export/Encapsulated PostScript (EPS.)
A common mistake occurs when the pixel design is opened in a vector graphic program (such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw,) and is then saved with the .eps file extension. This does not mean the content of the .eps file is vector, it is still a pixel design and will need to be vectorized before saving.

Custom Banner & Vinyl Sign FAQ's
For over ten years, LogoSoftwear has been making all types of custom banner sign sizes, colors and shapes. Some of the key questions to consider when purchasing a banner are what type of banner do I need? What are the factors that determine the size of the banner needed? And how do I install my banner? We examine these questions and offer you information about the basic banner types we offer: Full Color Digital Banners or Cut Vinyl Banners.
Full Color Digital Banners
It used to be too expensive to print full color on large formats like banners. Digital printing technology has spawned new cost effective ways to print full color banners and achieve maximum impact. Our digital printers provide great color resolution at a reasonable price. Our state-of-the-art digital printers print your graphics in large formats and at sharp resolutions.
If you would like to have computer generated artwork or photos reproduced or want to offer multiple colors this process is for you. According to Marketing Insights, color increases visibility and recall by up to 40%. For digital full color banners, artwork can be supplied in bitmap images at the size you wish the banner to be in a resolution of 150 dpi or higher. We also have banner backgrounds and photo clipart that is available for you to combine with text to make your banner stand out.
Cut Vinyl Banners
Generally for basic banners needs, cut vinyl banners can give you your best bang for the buck. Using your vector artwork or using our layout designers, you'll be assured that this custom vinyl banner gets noticed. Computer cut vinyl banners are "adhesive backed vinyl stickers" cut into a particular shape. A computer plotter is used instead of templates or dies and cuts adhesive vinyl using the computer cutter. The lettering/graphics are then transferred by hand and applied to the vinyl banner material.
If you are looking to do a banner with basic text and one of two colors then this banner can be the best option. For vinyl-cut graphics, artwork will be made into vectors (i.e. outlines, curves). We prefer artwork in this format. These files are often are created in CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator and have file extensions such as .eps, .ai, and .cdr.
Chart To Consider Viewing Distance
Always ask yourself, "How far away will the banner be from the viewer?" For instance, if a Grand Opening banner will be on the front of a business with a large parking lot between the storefront and the street, the letter height must be large enough to be viewed by drivers on the street. Also, keep in mind that a driver only has about 1.5 - 3 seconds to read a message while in motion. The chart below will help you determine the correct height vs. viewing distance.
Below are answers to commonly asked questions. After reading these, if you still need additional assistance, please email us
Q. Can I get a special size banner?
A. Stock sizes are specified and are the most commonly used. Call if you need another size not listed.
Q. Can I do second side personalization on banners or signs blanks?
A. Yes 2/sided banners and signs printing is available. Add 50% of sign price for second sided printing or vinyl lettering.
Q. Do the banners have holes for hanging?
A. Yes, your banner will have metal reinforced holes (grommets) every 2-4 feet.
Q. Do the banners have slits for wind?
A. No, our banners are heavy and will hold up fine in regular to moderate winds. Using bungee cords instead of, or in addition to rope, will relieve some strain from heavier winds. Our production process does not allow us to individually cut the banners. Your always free to cut them yourself with an exacto or utility knife, but if hung properly and not exposed to gale force winds, it should not be necessary.
Q. How Do We Install The Banners?
A. Our banners come with attached grommets every 2 feet along their width so you can securely mount them to a variety of surfaces. You can either mount your banner directly to a wall using screws and washers, or you can run a rope through the grommets and attach your banner to two poles. If you are in an extremely windy area, be sure to secure the banner through all of the grommets. Banner And Sign Track Kit can be purchased separately. This Banner Trak eliminates sagging and keeps banners straight and true. Custom Banners.
Outdoor banners can be fastended against a building with screws and washers through the grommets. Against a chain link fence, fasten through the grommets with nylon ties or wire. To tie between posts or trees, thread stitched rope threaded through entire banner length so that you can tie up and install by pulling on the rope. Indoor banners in most cases are easy to install, as they are placed in locations where they are viewed close up. For permanent indoor digital print banners installations, wall mounting is a relatively simple process. You can wall mount their banners by use of woodscrews through washers and grommets. Temporary installations are very common for indoor banners and include tradeshows, sporting events, and career fairs. Hook and loop velcro fastener can be installed on your banner to make a simple and easy install. S-hooks are used to hang temporary banners from above, with preinstalled grommets. Additional temporary banner installation options include pole pockets with wood dowels or PVC rods.

Wall Prints and Wall Posters
Below are answers to commonly asked questions. After reading these, if you still need additional assistance, please email us
Q: What is the best file format to submit my images as?
A: There are two types of graphics file formats; raster or bitmapped and vector. Following are suggested file submission standards:
Raster or bitmapped images are digital photographs or scanned images. These files normally have an extension of .jpg or .tiff. Either file format will work, however the higher the resolution of the file the better.
Raster or bitmapped artwork created in a program such as Adobe Photoshop will have file extensions of .jpg, .tiff or .psd. These files can be submitted in any of these formats, however we suggest a resolution of 300 dpi.
Vector based images or artwork are normally created in programs like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw. These files have extensions such as .eps, .pdf or .svg. Any logos, text or solid color artwork is best submitted in one of these three file formats.
Q: How do I know if my image will work?
A: Following are guidelines that should be used to qualify your image:
Digital Photos – image must meet minimum resolution requirement of 2048x1536 and subject to be printed should encompass at least 50% of the entire photo.
Scanned Images – image must be scanned at 300 dpi to even be considered for reproduction. LogoSportswear recommends image be scanned as a .tiff or .jpg.
Logos or Artwork – images produced as artwork in raster based programs such as Adobe Photoshop must be submitted at 300 dpi. Images submitted as vector images must be submitted as .eps or .svg files.
Q: What are your minimum resolution requirements for an image?
A: Subject to be reproduced in photo or artwork should encompass, at least, 50% of the entire photo and meet the following resolution requirements:
Digital Photos – minimum resolution of 2048x1536 is required for upload. Any image not meeting the minimum requirement will not upload. A 2048x1536 resolution is available on any digital camera with a Mega Pixel rating of 3 or higher (review your camera manual to determine the correct setting on your camera).
Scanned Images – minimum of 300 dpi scan is required for upload and we recommend image be scanned as a .tiff or .jpg.
Logos or Artwork – Any raster artwork must be submitted at 300 dpi and meet minimum pixel dimensions of 2048x1536. Vector artwork requires no minimum resolution requirements.
Remember – the output quality is only as good as the input quality of the image. Use the following table to determine print quality for your image.

Q: Will my digital printing design look just like it does on the computer screen?
A: The printed image will appear fairly close to the image on your computer screen. Computer screen and printer resolutions are different, wherein computers use ppi (pixels per inch) to display text or images while printers utilize dpi (dots per inch) to print. Keep in mind computer monitors also backlight the image on your screen whereas printing on different materials and finishes (matte, satin, gloss, etc.) will also affect the appearance of the finished product.
Q: How do I apply Wall Prints?
A: Always apply graphic to a smooth, clean, dry surface. Carefully remove graphic from paper liner. Avoid adhesive to adhesive contact, if this occurs, gently pull apart. Smooth out any air bubbles by hand during application. Save the paper liner! To transfer to another location, place the graphic back on the glossy side paper liner to protect from debris or sticking to other objects.

Artwork Specifications
For free artwork evaluation, email artwork to Info@LogoSportswear.com. If your file is over 4 mb use our upload feature, upload your design.
Click and browse for your logo art. It is preferable to receive vector images such as Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Corel Draw (.cdr), and Illustrator (.eps) files. We will accept other formats like BMP, JPG, GIF, EMF, and WMF. Graphic artwork can come into one of two formats: vector or raster (bit map).
Vector-based images are mainly used for spot-color separations such as typefaces, solid-colored graphics and clip-art images. Vector art images identify the math coordinates (or vectors) between point A and point B and the image is made up of connected lines.
Raster-based images are designed for high-end, photorealistic work. These images are used for digital printing and process color printing. These images consist of small pixels (or dots) of color that are connected and can be used to tweak, enhance and lighten photos. Bitmap images are created by scanning artwork or digital photographs, or by "painting" with a photo editing or paint program such as Corel PhotoPaint or Adobe PhotoShop.
Unlike vector images, the quality of a raster image is directly related to the image's resolution or number of pixels. Vector images, on the other hand, are created by mathematical equations, so pixels don't impact the quality of the image. As a result, they can be scaled up or down in size without loss of quality.
Image Size & Resolution
Be aware that images cannot be printed larger than they come to us. Best results are obtained from images that are high-resolution (150 dpi or greater) and larger than the area you request them to be printed into. Images taken from web sites are not high-resolution (generally 72 dpi) and cannot be reproduced well on a T-shirt.
So that we can print your design on clothing and mousepads, your design (e.g. photo) must:
Be saved as .png, .jpg, .bmp, or .gif (transparent formats, i.e. .gif or .png, are preferred)
Have a minimum resolution of 150 dpi
maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels
And a maximum file size of 3 mb
Additional Information
Please don't create your art in a word processing program. Such a design usually winds up having to be recreated from scratch in the correct program. A program like Microsoft Word comes with a good selection of clip art, and allows you to create graphics, shapes and text effects in many colors, but it is difficult (and often times impossible) to print color separations from word processing programs. Also please don't change the format of your design just to make it easier to email.
